Serenity Cabin is a charming country vacation home with a fully equipped farm-style kitchen, a cozy main-floor living room with a wood stove, laundry facilities, and a large bedroom located on the second floor. This home is located on a private lot with tall trees to the side and back that provide plenty of privacy from neighbors. A private drive leads to an off-street parking area.
This Kentucky rental home is fully furnished and decorated with homey, personal touches. The bathroom is equipped with towels, bath mat, hand soap, bath soap, air freshener and a hair dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with napkins and paper towels, dish soap, foil and plastic wrap, in addition to the necessary appliances — we have a side by side refrigerator with an ice maker, an oven and stove top, a microwave, a blender, a coffee maker, a toaster and a crock pot, as well as dishes, pots and pans and salt and pepper.
Sleeping accommodations: Serenity Cabin has one private bedroom on the second floor with a queen-sized bed. There is also a love seat that converts to a twin-sized bed in the bedroom. There is a queen sized sofa bed located downstairs in the living room. All linens are provided.
Our quiet Serenity Cabin is located at beautiful Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Kentucky, just off the main lake on Fall Creek. The Old Fall Creek Boat ramp is Only 150 yards away, where you can launch boats free of charge. Boat and equipment rentals can be found at local resorts. The patio area at the cabin is great for eating outside and stargazing — we provide a fire pit, a lantern, a charcoal grill and a citronella candle to make it the best experience possible.
Serenity Cabin is located in a natural wooded setting that is beautiful in all seasons and offers occasional sightings of deer, wild turkey, groundhogs, owls, rabbits and squirrels. Fishing and relaxing by the lake is one of our favorite pastimes. Monticello has a Peddlers Mall, Farmers Market, and the Wayne County Historical Museum to just name a few places.
The neighboring town of Somerset is a great place to explore also and is known for Somernites Cruises, an antique car show that runs from April through October. Somerset is also home to the Somersplash Water Park and lots of great shopping.
The cabin is also conveniently located to the annual 127 Garage Sale that takes place in August, the Mill Springs Mill and Civil War Museum, Renfro Valley, the Big South Fork Scenic Railway, the Wolf Creek Recreation Area, the Daniel Boone National Forest and Sheltowee Trace Outfitters. Lake Cumberland is most well known for the excellent striper fishing — there are several guide services in the area that do both full-day and half-day trips.
