Cabin No. 9 at Somerset, Kentucky’s secluded Lost Lodge Resort on Lake Cumberland is a two-bedroom log cabin set back from the camp road in dense, green foliage that offers privacy from the neighboring rentals.
This 400-square-foot cabin has two private bedrooms and one full bath, in addition to an open living space that includes a cozy sitting room, a furnished kitchen and a dining area with a table and chairs for four. The cabin’s interior is comfortably appointed with antiques and unique decor.
Outside, this cabin features a covered front porch with old-fashioned rocking chairs — the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and listen to the birdsong — and plenty of packed-earth parking space for extra vehicles, boats or trailers.
Sleeping arrangements: Each of the bedrooms at Cabin No. 9 are furnished with a full-sized bed.
In addition to comfortable accommodations, running water and modern appliances within the cabins, our guests have access to an array of onsite resort amenities. These include an outdoor grill, a fire pit and a picnic table near each cabin, as well as a shared outdoor kitchen, a children’s play area, two tropical greenhouses, a boat dock and our carefully tended landscaping.
Due to its unique location within Kentucky’s celebrated Daniel Boone National Forest, the Lost Lodge Resort offers access to a number of exciting outdoor adventure opportunities and a vast and varied landscape of beautiful scenery. Some favorite pastimes for visitors and guests include swimming, boating and exploring the three large local lakes and other waterways, fishing and hunting, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing.
Our resort is also conveniently located to the downtown area of the neighboring community of Burnside, where you can find the popular “restaurant row,” as well as shopping and other entertainments. Spend the day perusing the Paradise Flea Market or pay a visit to the Carnegie Community Arts Center, the Big South Fork National Recreation Area, or the Big South Fork Scenic Railway. We are also close to the beautiful Cumberland Falls and a 400-acre island park with a golf course and historic tours.

Our two-bedroom cabins have a maximum occupancy of four overnight guests.
The minimum required stay is two nights.
A refundable damage deposit of $150.00 is required to reserve the cabin.
Pets must be approved and can incur an additional charge of $35.00 - $75.00.
Dock reservations are needed for personal watercraft at $10.00/day.
The final rental price will include a 6 percent state tax and 4 percent transient tax.
A 5 percent processing fee will be added to credit card transactions.
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm EST, with check-out scheduled for 11:00 am.
Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 pm to 9:00 am.
Cancellations are accepted up to 30 days prior to the arrival date and subject to a $50.00 fee.
Our office hours are 8:30 am to 8:00 pm EST.

For many years, I've been staying at Lost Lodge and there is a good reason for that. Very clean! It feels like home, not a shoebox hotel. It's as cheap (or cheaper) than staying at a hotel. BONFIRES! Fully equipped kitchens. Grills ready to use. Expandable depending on my party size. (Sometimes a 1 bedroom cabin works and sometimes I need 5 2 bedroom cabins!) Much more, but truly at the end of the day, I love supporting the owners of Lost Lodge, Dona and Mike, with all the hard work they do for others so we can enjoy our trips to the max Robb Spratt

Lost Lodge at Lake Cumberland is our favorite vacation spot. Every stay has been memorable. We stayed here 2 years ago and loved every minute. Our son and his wife stayed a week last year. This week it was a last minute decision to go to Lake Cumberland and while standing on Dona’s porch, we called and asked if she had a cabin available. She was able to accommodate us. The cabins are clean and comfortable with basic necessities taken care of. The plants and flowers are beautiful and add to the charm of Lost Lodge. We brought our SeaDoo and was able to keep it at the dock during our stay. While Lake Cumberland is beautiful, it wouldn’t be the same without staying at Lost Lodge. Lost Lodge has been around since the 1960s. The ambiance of the wooded setting and the beauty of Pittman Creek sold us — we bought the resort in June of 2000 and worked hard to build a fun and unique place to stay. We are about as laid back as you can get, and we love meeting all the new guests!
