RESORT IS BEING SOLD. WE WILL RE-OPEN THIS LISTING ONCE A NEW OWNER TAKES OVER.

Relax and getaway from it all! Large 2 bedroom cabin walking distance to our private dock area on Lake Cumberland. Inside are unique furnishings and antique furniture - down by the lake are stairs to the dock, or you can take the “Hillovator”! As you walk around the resort look at the wonderful landscaping and lush tropical plants not usually found in Kentucky.

Cabin time in South Central Kentucky includes a heavy dose of the outdoors: The lake is 101 miles long and over 1 mile across at its widest point and ideal for fishing, waterskiing, jet skiing, tubing, knee boarding and swimming. The scenic gorges and sandstone bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau, Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, attract whitewater paddlers, rock climbers, and today horseback riding is one of the most popular activities at Big South Fork.

Cabin No. 15 at Lost Lodge Resort is the perfect romantic retreat basecamp for an active adventure with your family!

Sleeping arrangement: 2 separate bedrooms.

Unique Features

Bring your boat, or rent one from a nearby marina. The resort dock is a 3-4 minute walk from our 15 Lake Cumberland cabins at Lost Lodge Resort. It’s common to see a pontoon boat at the dock since there is 1,255 miles of shoreline to explore! The Lake Cumberland reservoir ranks 9th in the U.S. in size and is known by many as the Houseboat Capital of the World.

Bring your fishing poles and toss your golf clubs in the boat too; our Lost Lodge Resort launch is a short 10 minute ride to a peaceful 400 acre island State Park called General Burnside Island State Park.

Things To Do

You book directly with us here at Lost Lodge Resort, so we can put on our tour guide hat and give you tips on how to explore like a local. Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in the Daniel Boone National Forest has miles of paved recreational trails for cyclists plus hiking trails of all lengths and difficulty levels. Whether you fill your days floating & fishing, or birding & hiking, plan on a cozy and relaxing campfire at the end of your day.

Take a break from the cabin kitchen and walk to Burnside’s restaurant row (1/4 mile from Lost Lodge)! Treat your family or friends to a steak dinner, a Mexican feast, a happy hour with appetizers - some amazing local cuisine too.

Things to remember: All personal toiletry items, extra towels, charcoal, and any other paper products required.

Reviews

For many years, I've been staying at Lost Lodge and there is a good reason for that. Very clean! It feels like home, not a shoebox hotel. It's as cheap (or cheaper) than staying at a hotel. BONFIRES! Fully equipped kitchens. Grills ready to use. Expandable depending on my party size. (Sometimes a 1 bedroom cabin works and sometimes I need 5 2 bedroom cabins!) Much more, but truly at the end of the day, I love supporting the owners of Lost Lodge, Dona and Mike, with all the hard work they do for others so we can enjoy our trips to the max Robb Spratt
Exactly what we were looking for and what we expected. Cute, rustic cabin in a quiet woodsy setting. Kids enjoyed the playground while we enjoyed the swing. Anything you could need is found nearby. Thanks for the visit Dona & Mike! Joe Hicks, IN
Lovely place. Extremely clean. Donna is extremely easy to work with. Can’t wait to go back! Ame Lumpkins, KY
Your Review Love this place!! We wanted some R&R but be close enough to hiking and fun…. perfect location and the property is beautiful. We will be back every year now for sure. Rebecca Hatfield, IN
Lost Lodge at Lake Cumberland is our favorite vacation spot. Every stay has been memorable. We stayed here 2 years ago and loved every minute. Our son and his wife stayed a week last year. This week it was a last minute decision to go to Lake Cumberland and while standing on Dona’s porch, we called and asked if she had a cabin available. She was able to accommodate us. The cabins are clean and comfortable with basic necessities taken care of. The plants and flowers are beautiful and add to the charm of Lost Lodge. We brought our SeaDoo and was able to keep it at the dock during our stay. While Lake Cumberland is beautiful, it wouldn’t be the same without staying at Lost Lodge. Thank you Lost Lodge for making our 39th anniversary fantastic! Robin & Tony Profitt, Ohio
We just got home from a fabulous 2 night stay at Lost Lodge. The cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We couldn’t have been happier with the setting, front porch, fire pit and scenery of the property. Dona was very helpful in suggesting High Tops so we could watch the football game on Thursday. We would highly recommend this sports bar/restaurant. Everyone in the area is very friendly and made us feel at home. Mike stopped and chatted with us Friday morning and we enjoyed seeing all of the plants in the greenhouse there. We will most certainly recommend this to our friends and can’t wait for our trip back! Cristy Hancock, Ohio
Life long boaters on Lake Cumberland, but our first visit to Lost Lodge. We arrived and instantly felt at home while talking to owner, Dona, on her front porch. She was extremely friendly and showed us to our cabin. It was a clean, perfectly sized cabin for what we needed and it had everything we required. Lost Lodge could not have been more accommodating which was quite surprising considering their low rental prices. I will definitely be calling Dona to reserve a cabin for our next visit! About the Owner/Manager

Dona and Mike Howard, owners of Lost Lodge Resort in Somerset, KY. We want you to enjoy your stay with us so we encourage you to take full advantage of booking directly with us. Let us know what’s on your Lake Cumberland adventure list and we can point you in the right direction. Need a fishing Guide for your Lake Cumberland fishing trip? Need bait & tackle? Just ask us.

Lost Lodge has been around since the 1960’s. The ambiance of the wooded setting and the beauty of Pittman Creek sold us - we bought the Resort in June of 2000 and worked hard to build a fun and unique place to stay! We are about as laid back as you can get and the best part of owning a resort is meeting all the new guests.
