Reviews

Life long boaters on Lake Cumberland, but our first visit to Lost Lodge. We arrived and instantly felt at home while talking to owner, Dona, on her front porch. She was extremely friendly and showed us to our cabin. It was a clean, perfectly sized cabin for what we needed and it had everything we required. Lost Lodge could not have been more accommodating which was quite surprising considering their low rental prices. I will definitely be calling Dona to reserve a cabin for our next visit! While looking for a peaceful place around Lake Cumberland to relax and enjoy a few of the sights, (and not break the bank)…we found it at Lost Lodge. Cabins are rustic, but very comfortable and clean. Everything we were looking for. Clean beds, hot shower, air conditioned, full kitchen, shady front porch and back deck, swing, grill and we couldn’t forget the Wi-Fi! Also a path to the lake and dock. The owners are very friendly and helpful, makes you feel like you’ve been friends for a long time. The variety of plants on the grounds are wonderful… Aloes, Palms, Ferns, Agavae, Cacti, Lilies, Irises….too many to name. We were able to visit Cumberland Falls, Stearns for a train ride to a Mining Camp, Bunside Island, Cumberland Lake State Psrk, Wolfe Creek Dam, the Trout Fish Hatchery and Dale Hollow State Park. We also enjoyed local Antique Malls and Craft shops. Lydia Graziani
Our 4 th. time here. Love the country atmosphere. Donna and Mike are friendly and accommodating. Foliage is beautiful. Really enjoy the pond filled with gorgeous goldfish. Peanut the miniature horse, the peacocks and the guineas are my buddies. We WILL DEFINITELY be back. Benadetta Fausnight-wilhoit
Great Place to stay for a weekend on the lake. Very nice people and hospitality. Tyler Rosenhagen
We had a whole group of people stay here for my daughter's wedding. They all loved it. Found the wooded setting relaxing and felt like they were way out in the woods while really it is only 1 minute to fine dining & a liquor store. Judy Wilson Hatterman
Great accommodations, easy access to the dock, and the owners were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for a getaway! Emilie Shapero
Another great weekend!! Thank you!! Lindsey Schlechtinger
For many years, I've been staying at Lost Lodge and there is a good reason for that. Very clean! It feels like home, not a shoebox hotel. It's as cheap (or cheaper) than staying at a hotel. BONFIRES! Fully equipped kitchens. Grills ready to use. Expandable depending on my party size. (Sometimes a 1 bedroom cabin works and sometimes I need 5 2 bedroom cabins!) Much more, but truly at the end of the day, I love supporting the owners of Lost Lodge, Dona and Mike, with all the hard work they do for others so we can enjoy our trips to the max Robb Spratt

About the Owner/Manager

Dona and Mike Howard, owners of Lost Lodge Resort in Somerset, KY. We want you to enjoy your stay with us so we encourage you to take full advantage of booking directly with us. Let us know what’s on your Lake Cumberland adventure list and we can point you in the right direction. Need a fishing Guide for your Lake Cumberland fishing trip? Need bait & tackle? Just ask us.

Lost Lodge has been around since the 1960’s. The ambiance of the wooded setting and the beauty of Pittman Creek sold us - we bought the Resort in June of 2000 and worked hard to build a fun and unique place to stay! We are about as laid back as you can get and the best part of owning a resort is meeting all the new guests.
