Hillbilly Heaven in Campton, KY, is a peaceful mountain cabin getaway near Kentucky’s famous Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge State Resort Parks. This rustic, true log cabin was built in 2000, with modern luxuries including central air/heat, wireless internet and streaming services.
The interior cabin space at Hillbilly Heaven is homey and fully furnished, with hardwood floors, timber-beam vaulted ceilings, and curated art on the walls. The central living space is arranged in an open floor plan with a connecting sitting room, dining area and full modern kitchen.
This Kentucky mountain cabin’s cozy sitting room has plush sofas, a flat-screen TV, and a stone-surround gas fireplace — the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking or sight-seeing. The dining area sits 4-7 guests, with room for four more at the adjacent kitchen counter.
The master suite at Hillbilly Heaven is located on the lowest level. It has a queen-sized bed and a connected bath with a two-person jetted tub. The upper level of the cabin has a second queen bedroom and another full bath, as well as an open loft space with two twin-sized beds.
Hillbilly Heaven has little extras hidden in all its corners! Some of our favorites include the dining room dry bar — an antique Hoosier cabinet decked out with wine, champagne and cocktail glasses, and a shaker for martinis — and the 10-by-25-foot covered porch furnished with swings, lounge furniture, and topped off with a scenic view of the water, woods and fire pit.
Things to bring: beach towels for swimming, aluminum foil or ziplock bags, a flashlight or matches, and food for your stay!
Hillbilly Heaven is tucked away on a private lot between the trees with no close neighbors on either side. From the porch swing on that lake-facing side, you can actually see fish swimming through the water. Enjoy a cocktail in the evening air while serenaded by a chorus of bullfrogs, or cook out with the family on an open fire or one of our gas or charcoal grills. From this remote Kentucky cabin rental, it’s easy to access the water for fishing, kayaking or canoeing. There is a swimming platform just off our shore in clear, clean water and the lake is regularly stocked.
Hillbilly Heaven is also conveniently located to beautiful natural scenery and hiking trails. Just a few minutes away, you can explore Red River Gorge’s many scenic lookout points or take a wooded footpath up to see Natural Bridge. Other favorite activities in the area include horseback trail tours, watersport equipment rentals, zipline aerial tours, golf, and rock-climbing. There are several nice grocery stores nearby, as well as a number of excellent local restaurants.

Hillbilly Heaven requires a $100 refundable damage deposit to secure your dates.
Credit cards are accepted, as are checks payable to Barney A. Sutton.
A $60 one-time cleaning charge will be added to each rental.
Base rates at the cabin run from March to September and in November: $190/weeknight, $215/weekend night, and $1,200/week.
Special rates apply in October: $210/weeknight, $230/weekend night, $1,300/week and $4,000/month.
Off-season rates run from December through February: $175/weeknight, $195/weekend night, $1,100/week and $3,000/month.
Holiday rates apply on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year: a three-night minimum stay is required at $230/night.
